Little Night Star

A little girl sat outside her house on the steps to the porch, she was sitting there silently looking at the stars their glowing light sparkled in her eyes creating a dim glow. She then saw a shooting star shoot across the sky, she smiles and closed her eyes making a wish hoping and hoping for the wish come true. Then she heard her mothers soft voice behind her “Come inside little one, it’s time for you to sleep now” the little girl stood turning around she looked up at her mothers soft kind face, she then smiles and went inside walking up the stairs up to the second floor of the house. She arrived at her room opening the light blue door and steeped into her room, the walls were painted black with stars painted as well for design and than there was the northern lights across her ceiling, the little girls looked up looking at the northern lights and smiled. She than walked to her bed and pulled back the covers and crawled in pulling the covers over her she laid there staring out the window right above her window. She started to drift off to sleep but before her eyes closed she saw a woman who was slightly transparent and she was covered in small dimly glowing lights like the stars in the night sky, the woman’s eyes were like the northern lights. Before the girl closed her eyes the woman floated above her and kissed her forehead and said softly and almost silently “Sweet dreams my little night star”
